To sustain the competition market, almost all companies are treating marketing as one of the most important components of a business plan. There are some performance actions which form the basis of the marketing process. Usually, a marketing plan or action should be based on four major aspects of a business: product, price, place and promotion.
Product: The product is perhaps the most important component of a business. In simple terms, the goods or the services that a company is selling is termed as “product”. It can be a consumer product, industrial product or a service. Some of the main factors that are related to product creation and distribution are guarantees, warranties, support pricing and so on.
Price: Every product or service must have a proper price which the consumer needs to pay to buy it. Through the marketing process, one can set the price of the product after determining the demand supply chains. Normally, the price includes the average cost of production and a part of the profit.
Place: Usually, this refers to the distribution channels that the company takes to market the product. In this process, the target audience first needs to be properly identified and accordingly the distribution channel needs to be made for the best reach and reception.
Promotion: Product promotion is also major tool of marketing and mainly includes publicity, advertising, personal selling and so on. Proper promotion is needed to make the product more popular among the consumers thereby increasing the sales and demand for it.
By properly framing a marketing plan on these basic factors, a company is able to grow its business and also reap good profits.
